The Role & Team

Our vibrant, energetic and supportive Communications team is looking for an Internal Communications Executive to join us on a 12-month fixed term Parental Leave Contract. Joining the team means you enjoy a fast-paced dynamic environment and are up for the challenge to adapt quickly to new opportunities and programs.

 

This is an exciting opportunity where you will work closely with the Head of Communications and partner with Senior Leaders to develop, manage and implement communications strategies on business-wide projects, wellbeing initiatives, Inclusion & Belonging plans, and all support team communications and events. You will also play a vital role in delivering and managing our quarterly support team events and activities to inform, educate, engage and inspire our teams.

At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternative location, you will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne. 

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a communications-centric role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships, with a range of people at all levels
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to present complex issues or messages clearly, simply and effectively to a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience and capability with digital media and video production or editing will be an advantage
  • Experience with online platforms/intranets including SharePoint will be highly regarded
