The Role & Team
We have a unique opportunity for an Optometrist to join our Graduate Optometry Team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior Graduate Optometry Development Manager for ANZ, you will work in partnership with the three other Graduate Optometry Development Managers to help lead the delivery of the industry leading Specsavers Graduate Program. 

 

Your day-to-day will involve working with graduates and store partners to support the clinical and professional development of early-career optometrists. You will utilise your optometric knowledge to provide essential input, guaranteeing that our graduate recruitment and development initiatives align with the clinical and personal development needs of our optometrists. 

 

As our new Graduate Optometry Development Manager, you will have a knack for influencing, connecting and empathising with a wide range of stakeholders. This is the perfect opportunity for you to shift your Optometry career in a new and unique direction!

 

At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternative location, this role will be based at our Support Office in Port Melbourne.  

 

The skills we are looking for:

  • Significant professional experience as an Optometrist
  • Essential to this role is the completion of the two-year Specsavers Graduate Program 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver Graduate Program Workshops to small and large audiences
  • Ability to build rapport with professionals at all levels and work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment 
  • Highly organised and strong attention to detail
