The Role & Team

We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a talented and passionate Instructional Learning Designer to join our award-winning team on a 14-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll leverage your strong writing skills to translate business needs into engaging and effective learning experiences.

Reporting to the Learning Design Manager, you will be responsible for designing training materials that support the learning and development of Specsavers store teams. This includes creating a variety of learning interventions, from in-person workshops and virtual classrooms to online training resources and in-store tools. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to develop impactful blended and online learning solutions that meet the needs of the business.

 

What we are looking for

  • A skilled writer, who can translate business needs or requirements into an effective piece of learning
  • A background in L&D instructional design, with a deep understanding of adult learning principles and best practices
  • Proven ability to design learning materials, tools and assessments using a blend of methods and mediums
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts in creating learning programs and resources
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment whilst delivering high quality work
  • Previous experience designing and delivering learning materials in a retail or similar environment is highly desirable
