The role & team

Our Purchasing and Logistics department have a newly created role for an Inventory and Demand Planner to join the team and support the development and on-going success of our Canadian business.  This role is based in Port Melbourne, Australia.

Reporting into our Demand & Inventory Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective inventory management and availability of frames and frame cases to fulfil forecasted demand and manage replenishment for both store and lab customers whilst minimising write off and obsolescence.

As our Demand and Inventory Planner, you will develop effective forecast models based on trend and demand patterns, and propose and implement solutions to improve forecasting accuracy.  You will own the end to end of order placement with international suppliers to the on time delivery of inventory into our British Columbia distribution centre.


The skills we are looking for

  • Experience in a similar Inventory Demand Planning role 
  • IT literate, with advanced Microsoft Excel and data handling skills
  • Strong time management and highly organised with demonstrated ability to determine priorities, meet strict deadlines and work under press
  •  A passion for finding and delivering efficiencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prepare and present reports and documentation to a wide range of global stakeholders.
