The role & team
Our vibrant, energetic and supportive Internal Communications team is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity where you will work closely with the Head of Communications to develop and oversee communications strategies, events and activities to inform, educate, engage and inspire Partners, the Support Offices and store teams. You will also lead a team of Communications Executives to develop communication strategies to motivate, encourage and support them by providing relevant, transparent and timely information while maintaining our culture and personality. 

At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternative location, the Senior Communications Manager will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne. 

 

The skills we are looking for

  • Significant internal communications management and people leadership experience, ideally within a face-paced and dynamic retail environment 
  • Extensive experience in developing, proposing and implementing end-to-end communication strategies
  • Proven experience managing corporate strategic events that link to business plans and strategy
  • Crisis communication experience is highly desired 
  • Background in building intranet strategies and proficient with content management systems including SharePoint  
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strategic working relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders
