The role & team
Our Payroll team plays an important role in the growth of Specsavers across Australia and New Zealand.  Due to a recent promotion, we are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our exciting and fast paced Payroll team of seventeen on a 12-month basis. 

 

The Senior Payroll Officer will perform the end-to-end payroll function for New Zealand stores, ensuring accurate and timely payments, in accordance with taxation, legislation, and organisational policies and procedures.

 

We believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternate location, the Senior Payroll Officer will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne.  
 
The skills we are looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume payroll environment
  • Sound knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, kiwisaver and employment legislation
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to determine priorities, meet deadlines and the ability to work under pressure
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail with sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and deal with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience in ADP Payforce is highly desirable
