Salary: $100,000 – $135,000

Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience. We also offer quarterly variable compensation package (bonus) + benefits.

What You’ll Do

The Global Demand Planning & Forecasting team are responsible for leading the implementing the standardised planning process across all our regions. They will have a global view of stock and forecasting creating a global framework of how we demand plan and forecast across our business.

 

The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for the management and ordering of key product categories within their region, working to the agreed global framework. Ensuring that we have the right products, in the right quantity, in the right place and at the right time to fulfil demand and manage replenishment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for availability levels across agreed categories. Ensuring that we’re reporting on availability and out of stocks at all management levels and aiming of for 99% availability of stock.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of root cause, remedial action taken and expected resolution timeframes.
  • Deliver against the agreed framework, KPIs and models aligned with business objectives across your categories. Analyse historical data, market trends, and industry insights to generate accurate short and long-term forecasts for your regions.
  • Lead a team of Demand Planners across categories for the management and optimisation of warehouse stock levels to maximise availability whilst minimising excess and obsolete stock.
  • Management of stakeholder information and reporting, forward projection, and analysis of future trends to provide critical information for decision making.
  • Reporting on hand and on order levels or stock to be able to understand periodic write off and obsolescence provision risk in collaboration with finance.
  • Develop and maintain great working relationships with suppliers, collaborating on the creation and effective delivery of strategic plans.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of forecast (short, medium and long-range) against the agreed global model.
  • Collaborating closely with trading and product, plus the relevant category buying and development teams on forecast accuracy and ranging decisions.
  • Working closely with the S&OP team and involved in regularly meetings and collaborative projects to improve overall efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the other Demand Managers in region and across region to develop best mindset practice and share ways of working, working together as a virtual matrix team.
  • Responsible through the relevant demand planners in your team to coordinate the ordering process for your relevant categories, communicating effectively with suppliers at all levels.
  • Support the Regional Head of Demand Planning with external stakeholder management with vendors.
  • Manage a team of demand planners on the above objectives. Support in personal development and mentoring to develop both personal and professional skills in line with the Specsavers values and behaviours and creating the environment for people to grow and progress in the team.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience of Demand Planning and Forecasting
  • Solution driven outlook with an analytical and logical mind
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Ideally experienced in Power BI/VBA
  • Understand the different types of data and the relationships between them
  • High level of commercial and financial understanding
  • Good analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge and build meaningful relationships with a range of key partners
  • Great self-motivation and drive with experience of working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Able to create an inclusive and psychologically safe working environment for people to excel
