Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience

What You’ll Do


Purpose of the role


To drive local marketing volume initiatives for all Specsavers stores across Canada, from the initial launch phase to ongoing volume-driving campaigns throughout the year.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project manage the planning and execution of effective local marketing initiatives such as new store launches, partner engagement activations, and local volume campaigns to drive qualified traffic to new and existing stores.
  • Work in collaboration with Operations, Marketing and Agencies to deliver effective and innovative local/regional marketing plans to drive volume and sales. 
  • Coordinate the development of store and mall marketing collateral, local media requests, sponsorship opportunities, and bespoke local marketing campaigns in line with brand guidelines, ensuring total customer & store needs are communicated effectively.
  • Collaborates with Operations, National & Local Marketing teams to ensure regional/local plans complement the national strategy and maximize short-term opportunities for growth via week-by-week analysis and optimization.
  • As part of the wider marketing team, act as guardian of the Specsavers brand ensuring the development of clear and consistent customer messages. Review localized communication materials as required and as appropriate.
  • Monitor competitor activity and analyse campaign performance against business targets to identify opportunities and trends to boost store traffic, bookings and activations. 
  • Address marketing related store communications and requests, including all relevant information to and from stores, partners, and other stakeholders. Act as a liaison between store partners, regional managers, and marketing ensuring store feedback is heard, marketing questions are addressed, and local marketing plans are built and delivered based on local insights.
  • Deliver excellent partner service by engaging and responding to store’s inquiries on a timely and effective matter, with a special focus on new store launches, local volume driving opportunities, store relocations and response to competitor threats,
  • Oversee store-originated swag and print orders ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget to support store/mall activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of a toolbox of standard marketing assets, collaterals, and guidelines to support the store marketing program. Identify opportunities for partners and store managers to self-serve where they can. 
  • Consolidate monthly invoices ensuing spends are cost-effective and within budget.
  • Budget ensuring spends are cost-effective and within forecasts.
  • When required, attend store visits and partner meetings, and action outcomes to implement agreed plans. 


What We’re Looking For

  • Over 5 years experience in Marketing within a retail or agency environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications or Business
  • Strong project management and ability to manage a large workload and priorities
  • Strong brief writer with strong creative judgement
  • Strong stakeholder, customer service, and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrates empathy, is a team-player and driven by great engagement             
  • Critical and creative thinking, solution oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced & changing environment. Multitasker with a flexible / can-do approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Effective influencing skills 
  • Some ability to travel to the stores in the territory (including overnight stays)
