Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience 
We also offer quarterly variable compensation package (bonus) + benefits

What You’ll Do 

The purpose of this role is to provide a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience in the end-to-end talent acquisition process for Specsavers Canada. From research and pipeline building to candidate assessment and offer management, this position requires a breadth of expertise. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Understand all the pillars of the candidate experience from attraction to onboarding and beyond and work with our Global team to bring our Employee Value Proposition to life. 

  • Champion the Specsavers brand for candidates and contribute to evolving a best-in-class Employee Value Proposition. 

  • Build strong relationships with the senior internal client group and cross-functional partners is essential for success, alongside the ability to prioritize effectively, challenge the status quo, and provide exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences. 

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. 

  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract diverse and high-quality candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals. 

  • Be a trusted advisor to hiring managers in building the right talent pipeline that’s right for their team and the business. 

  • Incorporate DEI and inclusive recruitment elements into all processes to ensure we have a fair selection process and a diverse candidate pool. 

  • Coordinate and manage interview schedules, feedback sessions, and candidate communications. 

  • Facilitate the offer process, negotiate terms, and ensure a smooth transition for successful candidates. 

  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process. 

  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to talent acquisition. 

  • Provide technical recruitment support and guidance to our Retail Partners 

  • Oversee Secondee talent movement processes with Global Mobility in collaboration with the HR team and the department leaders. 


What We’re Looking For 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience. 

  • 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing full-cycle recruitment processes. 

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing techniques, interview methods, and candidate assessment. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and collaborate effectively with hiring managers. 

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality 


Nice to have: 

  • Experience in using advanced sourcing tools and techniques, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, boolean searches, and talent mapping. 

  • Familiarity with employer branding strategies and experience in enhancing the company’s presence on social media and job boards. 

  • Knowledge of data analytics and experience in using recruitment metrics to drive improvements in the hiring process. 

  • Previous experience in a high-growth or startup environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt to rapidly changing hiring needs. 

  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing recruitment projects or initiatives.
