Passionate about internal communication that makes an impact? Join our Northern Europe team and help connect, inform and engage colleagues across five markets.

At Specsavers, we’re dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to all. As pioneers and a global leader in innovative technologies, we help people optimise their vision and hearing. We foster your expertise, welcome you into a supportive family, and propel your growth. Grounded in our collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion values, we strive to challenge the status quo and invite you to team up with us.

To strengthen our regional Communications team, we’re looking for a skilled Communication Consultant to help us connect, inform, and engage colleagues across Northern Europe.

Your role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that relevant business activities, initiatives, and changes are clearly communicated to the right audiences in the right way – helping colleagues across the region stay informed, engaged, and able to act.

You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders and communication channels, managing everything from communication planning and content creation to publishing and evaluation. This includes managing and further developing key internal communication channels such as our internal platforms, Communication Meetings, and our weekly email updates – with a strong focus on clarity, engagement and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop internal communication plans and content for business initiatives across our NE region

  • Work closely with stakeholders in support offices and markets to ensure alignment and delivery of business initiatives

  • Manage and create content for internal channels

  • Keep our intranet up to date, relevant and user-friendly

  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and format across all communication activities

  • Support the delivery of our engagement plan for both support office and store colleagues

  • Seek new ideas and trends to enhance our communication approach

  • Collaborate with the Senior Communication Manager and wider team on communication projects as needed

Your new team

As part of our regional Communications team, you’ll play a key role in informing and engaging support office colleagues, partners, and store teams across five markets. Working closely with stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels, you’ll ensure that our internal communication is timely, consistent, and motivating — supporting both our long-term strategy and day-to-day operations.

You’ll be part of a team that believes communication is key to driving change, shaping culture, and helping colleagues feel connected to our purpose. If you enjoy turning complex information into clear messages that inspire action, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work at our Northern Europe support office in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. Our office features many collaborative spaces and a stunning rooftop terrace with breathtaking city and harbour views.

  • Join our global team of friendly, talented, and passionate colleagues. Enjoy a competitive salary package with perks such as pensions, (health insurance), free eye care vouchers, and more.

  • Grow in your role with free access to online learning, monthly one-on-one discussions with your manager, personalised development plans, and increased responsibility.

  • We offer a fun work environment with great coffee, laughter, table tennis tournaments, birthday surprises, holiday celebrations, virtual Friday quizzes, and more.

Your qualifications

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys translating business priorities into clear, engaging communication — and who knows how to navigate the space between structure and creativity. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment, feel comfortable working across countries and functions, and have a natural instinct for knowing what to say, how to say it, and when.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with a strong sense of tone and clarity

  • A background in communication – whether through education, experience, or a mix of both

  • Experience from an internal comms role, ideally in a support office or multi-market setting

  • A good understanding of how to adapt content for different formats – like intranet, video, or podcasts

  • A proactive, well-organised approach, with confidence working with many stakeholders and shifting priorities

But most importantly, you’re someone who sees communication as a driver of engagement, understanding and impact. And if you don’t tick every box but think this could be the right fit for you — we’d love to hear from you.

Your development

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Be onboarded and become an active part of the team

  • Gain understanding of our organisation and business – and experience why we’re a Great Place to Work

  • Support/work on cross-functional projects

Within 6-12 months, you:

  • Run your own projects

  • Understand our business and the purpose behind everything we do

  • Advise on internal communication processes

Further development:

  • We have a strong focus on your personal development plan to make sure that your competencies and skills continue to be best in class

  • You can choose a career path within Specsavers you perceive as your personal journey.

  • You can grow professionally in an organisation that recognises your skills and personality.
