hero-curve

We’re looking for an experienced (Interim) HR Business Partner who can step in with confidence, ensure continuity, and support our leaders across the Support Office and Retail. We’re proud to be ranked number 4 in the Great Place To Work in Netherlands!

At Specsavers, we’re dedicated to making eye and hearing care accessible to everyone. Our values — collaboration, curiosity, courage, and compassion — guide everything we do. During this maternity cover, you will play a key role in maintaining the high‑quality HR support our teams rely on.

Your role

As HR Business Partner, you’ll be the first point of contact for Support Office managers, Partners, and Regional Retail Managers on all People matters. You’ll drive HR initiatives that support organizational objectives across stores and the support office, ensuring compliance, engagement, and a great employee experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support to Stores

  • Deliver HR onboarding, ensuring each understand their responsibilities as employers and people leaders.
  • Provide training and guidance on HR-related topics, employment law, and cultural expectations.
  • Support Partners and RRMs in performance management, organizational change, and absence management.
  • Drive engagement initiatives, including GPTW survey follow-up and action planning.
  • Champion Specsavers’ values and culture, focusing on wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Provide tools and guidance for health & safety compliance and legal obligations.

Support to Support Office

  • Partner with managers to enhance leadership capabilities and team performance.
  • Ensure best practice in HR admin processes across the employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, compensation, engagement, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Arbo service provider in dealing with absence and make sure we have up to date knowledge on our sickness and retention figures and be proactive towards the business.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development and succession planning.
  • Drive training programs and development activities, including workshops and leadership forums.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and accurate people data management.
  • Lead and participate in local and regional HR projects (D&I, Wellbeing, GPTW).

Your new team

We’re a passionate and collaborative team with an ambition to take Specsavers’ employee experience to the next level. As HRBP you´ll be working closely with our other HR Business Partner and our Head of P&O NLD. We like to get involved, challenge each other, learn from each other, and have fun together. You´ll also collaborate with many other colleagues at the support office and in the stores.
