What you’ll do?
As our new People Director – Northern Europe, you’ll be responsible for building and driving an overall people strategy and plan for our NE Optics and Audiology businesses. You’ll be accountable for the employee experience across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, driving team and individual performance, engagement, development, and reward.
Working closely with the rest of the P&O teams, you’ll ensure alignment with, or in support of, global processes and initiatives. Overseeing a team of 8 direct reports and wider team of 50 colleagues across P&O, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future P&O function, and there’ll be many exciting tasks to get involved in. Some examples of your tasks are:
- Being a key member of the NE Board, developing an annual people plan and designing and delivering organisational change
- Leading people-related initiatives and cross functional projects for the overall NE Region and governing the execution of the people plan
- Building, leading and inspiring a high performing and valued people team that wants to deliver their full potential and deliver fantastic results
- Growing the P&O team and others through effective coaching, personal development, nurturing their talent and implementing robust succession plans
- Overall accountability for managing any relevant third parties and compliance with local legislation.
As our new People Director for NE, you’ll work at our NESO office in Hvidovre. However, in 2024, we’re relocating to Copenhagen’s Nordhavnen. Our new office features a stunning rooftop terrace with breathtaking city and harbour views.
Who you are?
To drive our ambitious P&O agenda forward we are seeking a talented and engaging HR leader with significant experience in change and transformation as well as broad operational HR experience, and a strong commercial mindset. We imagine that you’ve spent some years doing similar type of work and that you thrive in an international setting, with the ability to manage and balance both peers, directs and stakeholders from both the global/ top leadership group as well as your local region. Dealing with both direct reports and some dotted lines, your strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills will be highly valued. Furthermore, we’d really like to see you tick off most of the following boxes;
- Extensive experience from leading regional HR teams and HR services in a global, matrixed business
- Track record of partnering with executive leadership teams to deliver a people strategy in support of business plans and goals
- Experience in leading large teams and a track record of developing others
- Self-driven, and able to effectively deliver results through self and others
- Able to build and develop good relationships and collaborative working with key stakeholders
- Proven ability to establish personal credibility quickly, demonstrate leadership behaviour and build trust with colleagues at all levels
- Proven project management and organisational skills, with the ability to work with pace and agility in a fast paced, changing environment
- Competent in using and analysing people-related data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Ideally some experience in optics/healthcare and/or retail organisations.
