As our new Senior Communication Manager, you will be responsible for managing our professional community of optometrists in Northern Europe. A big part of this is to ensure that all our communication to the optical industry and potential optometrist employees are kept relevant, on-brand, professional and consistent with our employer brand value proposition.


Your job tasks will be to:


  • Promote our professional agenda through all touchpoints to the optical industry in all our five markets: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and the Netherlands
  • Make sure our professional agenda to the industry is represented consistently across our five markets to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Drive initiatives that enable our prof. industry strategy to bridge the gap between communities, events, influencers, and industry experts
  • Grow our influencer network and train our internal and external optical influencers to become true ambassadors of our professional agenda
  • Monitor local Facebook communities and be in close contact with the local moderators in countries to make sure these are aligned with our overarching professional agenda and strategy
  • Create and deliver engaging, relevant, professional, and on-brand content through all touchpoints in our professional community ecosystem that apply to all five markets
  • Continuously update and improve our online community website (covering all markets and our Northern European office in Copenhagen) so that all stakeholders are kept up to speed with our professional agenda through relevant content that accommodate their scientific/professional needs.


In this role, you’ll be reporting to and cooperating closely with Head of Employer Branding and Industry Communication, Kristina Bølling. Together you will make sure we are positioned the right way on our employer branding platforms, such as our LinkedIn, Facebook, and Career Sites.


Who you are


We are looking for a Senior Communication Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and energetic approach to supporting our professional agenda throughout the Specsavers / Louis Nielsen organisation. It’s important that you have experience with community- and stakeholder management to bridge the gap between our different professional channels and functions such as PR, Recruitment, Communication, and more.


To be successful in this role, you must meet the following professional and personal qualifications:


  • At least 3-5 years of experience with community management (both offline and online) within a B2C or B2B environment covering some of the Nordic countries
  • Experience working independently with external communication
  • Experience with influencer marketing, social media, and online platforms
  • Excellent proficiency in English and one Scandinavian language as a minimum
  • Vocational experience from specialised industries, for example medical or retail industries
  • Strong people skills with a desire to work cross-functionally with many different stakeholder groups to identify synergies in content and new asset ideas
  • Clear communication skills with thorough and reliable ability to prioritise and follow up on actions
  • Proud to be the subject matter expert for our professional agenda and strategy.
