As our new Student Assistant in Industry Communications, you’ll support us in driving and developing our new knowledge-sharing community for optometrists in Northern Europe.

You’ll support the planning, coordination, and creation of content, ensuring that all our communication to the optical industry and potential optometrist colleagues is kept relevant, professional and on-brand with our brand value proposition.

What you'll do

As our new Student Assistant, you’ll be part of the Industry Communications team sitting in our Northern European Support Office (NESO) in Copenhagen, Hvidovre.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the planning, coordination, and creation of relevant and on-brand content
  • Support with managing the editorial calendar and ensure our copywriters are on board and informed
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas for engaging content that’s relevant to all our five markets
  • Support with monitoring traffic and metrics to turn insights into valuable recommendations for optimisation of the content strategy
  • Maintain and keep all website content up-to-date to improve user experience
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, coordinating meetings, events, research etc.

Who you are

We are looking for a Student Assistant with an entrepreneurial spirit and an energetic approach to support our professional agenda throughout the Specsavers / Louis Nielsen organisation. It’s essential to have strong people skills and a desire to work cross-functionally and cross-country with many different stakeholder groups.

Other than that, you should be able to accommodate the following qualifications:

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Solid understanding of and skills in strategic communications
  • Genuinely passionate about and has a talent for content development- and management
  • Possess strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Prior vocational experience from a similar marketing or communications position or/and with community building is a plus
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset
  • Attentive to detail
  • Experience from specialised industries in healthcare is a plus.
  • Working hours are approx. 15-20 hours spread over the week, starting as soon as possible.
