In the Netherlands, the Property team is proud to serve 143 Optical and Audiology stores, who are party owned by Specsavers and partyly owned by our Partners. As our current Property Manager is moving into another role within Specsavers, we’re searching for an experienced Property & Acquisitions Manager to join our team.
What’s the role about?
As our Property & Acquisitions Manager, you’ll be part of a team responsible for the delivering of new stores, relocations, lease acquisitions, and lease re-gears in the NLD store portfolio. In this position you’ll have one direct report, namely the Property Surveyor in the Netherlands. Your new workday will consist of tasks like: 
• Building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities for new stores, relocations, expansions and lease re-gears 
• Providing strategic advice to our Group function and to our Partners in respect of all property related issues 
• Negotiating contracts, financial terms and introducing Specsavers standard lease clauses and ensuring that the Property Portfolio is fit for future
• Managing the store Portfolio in the Netherlands and executing property related initiatives

As Property & Acquisitions Manager, you’ll become an integral part of the dynamic Business Development team, collaborating closely with talented colleagues within Retail Operations, Finance, Legal, and the Country Manager, just to name a few. As our new Property & Acquisitions Manager, you’ll work at our support office in Maarssen. Our office features an informal work environment and many collaborative spaces.

Your qualifications
We’re seeking an individual with 5+ years’ experience within retail real estate business and knowledge about lease law within the Netherlands. You’ll need to have a good network within Landlords, Retailers, Agents, and Developers with the wish to broaden this even further. Your commercial and collaborative mindset will be highly appreciated, as you’ll engage with other internal departments and with our partners on a regular basis. Furthermore, we hope that you can recognize the following traits:
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Ability to negotiate, network and drive projects 
• Effective planning skills
• Proactive in having ideas for the Property Portfolio
• Driven, resilient and with great influencing skills
Your development
Within 3 months, you will:  
• Be onboarded and be able to do drive your own business
• Gain understanding of the Dutch Property Portfolio
  
Within 6-12 months, you are: 
• Running the Property NLD department
• The go-To-person for all Property related matters 
• Delivering the best Property advice towards our partners and your main stakeholders
