What was your background before joining Specsavers?
Before joining Specsavers, I was studying Business Studies at the College of Further Education.

In a nutshell, what do you do?
My role within Financial Reporting involves the monthly and yearly production of financial accounts for Specsavers Audiology Limited and Specsavers Group Limited which entails a breath of different tasks from preparing monthly reconciliations to working with external auditors to validate our yearly financial accounts.

What does your typical day look like?
A typical day can involve working on any projects I currently have on the go, to dealing with queries from people all over the business from store partners to other members of support office.

What makes you most proud of your time at Specsavers so far?
In my time at Specsavers I’ve grown so much as a person, I started straight from school and now I am more independent, and my confidence has grown so much. I’ve passed multiple accountancy exams with the support of Specsavers.

How has Specsavers supported your development?
Specsavers have supported me in all my development needs by providing with me the time I needed to go on ACCA courses and have always pushed and guided me to try my hardest.

What do you love about your job?
My job allows me to engage with so many different people and helps me develop so many skills. I love being able to start projects and then work hard on them right until the end.
