Specsavers menopause support colleague network launches

MenoTalk: United through menopause

MenoTalk, our menopause support community group, launched this week and membership is open to anyone and everyone affected by menopause at Specsavers.

As a business we have decided to start talking more openly about menopause; it will directly – or indirectly – affect all of our colleagues – whether a woman in our business; living with someone going through the menopause; or managing someone going through the menopause.

The group is a safe, confidential space where our colleagues can find support, guidance and advice. They will have access to information, resources and guidance and can be as involved as much as they like.

How we’ll help

MenoTalk’s aim is to provide a safe place where people can discuss issues related to menopause in a private, protected environment, and will:

  1. Provide health and wellbeing advice and support
  2. Educate and inform on menopause-related topics and issues

Our MenoTalk community group will help shape the future of menopause in the workplace by raising awareness, sharing experiences and providing practical solutions to help everyone’s experience of menopause in a working environment.

Louise Furby, Senior Events Planning and Communications Manager who set this group up says: ‘I set up our MenoTalk community group to give everyone affected by menopause a safe, confidential space where members can share experiences and get practical advice. We want to shape the future of menopause in the workplace at Specsavers by raising awareness, providing support and breaking the stigma. We are united through menopause.’

We are well on our journey to making everyone feel like they belong at Specsavers, do you want to be part of this? Check out our latest opportunities here.
