Specsavers Virtual Work Experience Programme Launched

We are giving people the opportunity to have an insight into life at Specsavers to ‘See What’s Possible’ a virtual work experience programme for support office careers at here at Specsavers.

Partnering with Springpod, we are offering the opportunity to learn about all the different departments within our global business, including, technology and data, legal, finance, marketing and the creative agency, retail support, supply chain, HR and L&D.

The programme will provide a comprehensive introduction to various support office roles, whilst building knowledge of these areas. There will be the opportunity to meet industry professionals during on demand webinars and taking part in activities and quizzes and then on completion, a certificate will be provided.

Georgie Tapley, early careers specialist, says ‘This programme is designed to give as many people as possible across the country the chance to gain vital work experience in an area they have interest in. Individuals are not always able to spend time in an office for work experience due to travel or other commitments, this format takes away that issue and hopefully we give more people the chance to be involved.’

The virtual work experience will take 8-10 hours and it will be fully on demand. Everyone will have three weeks to complete the programme and the application deadline for the first intake is 23 June 2023.
