Today is World Menopause Day – a chance to raise awareness of menopause and perimenopause along with the support options available for improving health and wellbeing.
At Specsavers, we have a Menopause in the Workplace policy as well as some financial support available through our medical provider. And from next month, we’ll open our menopause support group to all colleagues, providing help and support for women in Specsavers affected by menopause.
And why have we set up this group? Well, that’s simple: it’s because menopause matters and we all need to start talking more openly about something that will directly – or indirectly – affect everyone.
Our group will offer support to help drive our menopause in the workplace agenda offering a space for people to share experiences as well as a platform to help educate colleagues across our business about menopause and perimenopause.
Our colleagues health and wellbeing is a high priority for us and this is just another step in our journey in supporting that.
