About the store

Specsavers in Wrexham first opened its doors in 1991 and sits in a prominent position in the centre of the main shopping street, alongside stores such as Primark, Greggs and Shoezone. 


A team of 34 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home. A new hearcare room was recently added so now the store boasts 7 optical test rooms, 1 dual purpose room and 1 dedicated audiology room.


Store location

Wrexham is situated in northeast Wales, just a few miles from the English border. Surrounded by countryside and yet home to one of Europe’s biggest industrial estates bringing plenty of employment. There’s something for everyone in Wrexham from independent pubs, bars and restaurants, night clubs to a fantastic shopping/cinema complex and Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre.


The store is just a stone’s throw from Wrexham football club, made world famous by actor Ryan Reynolds buying into the club in 2021 and more recently televising a documentary about the club and its fans.


There are excellent transport links, with 2 train stations both within walking distance of the store and access to the M53 and M56 around 20 miles from the town. The A483 running through Wrexham connects it to the larger cities of Chester and Swansea.


Requirements of the role

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
