We want someone who is passionate about transforming hear care in their community by increasing awareness of hearing loss, ear conditions and diseases such as impacted earwax, Tinnitus and Meniere’s Disease. About the store

Specsavers in Stockton-on-Tees first opened its doors as an optical business in 1990 before becoming an audiology hub in 2011. The store sits in a prominent position in a shopping centre and has the rare benefit of being accessible via its dual entrances either on the hight street or in the shopping centre. The loyal and growing customer base includes members of the large local community along with visitors from the many nearby rural and affluent villages, providing a real mix of requirements serviced by the store.

The store has kept up to date with regular refits, most recently in 2017, and now boasts 12 optical test rooms and 2 dedicated audiology booths. – all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology. The store also provides audiology services to its spoke store in Thornaby.

A team of approximately 70 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home. The audiology team comprises of4 x HAD’s, 1 x HCA and 2 x Administrators.       The existing Partners are really passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Audiology Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

You would be joining Ross Jennings, Retail Director, who has been with Specsavers for 25 years and David Rose, Optometry Director, who has also been with the business for 25 years. Ross and name David are really looking forward to gaining an Audiology Partner to help them drive the business forward so that it offers holistic care to customers who want access to both sight and hear care services in their community.

Store location

The store is located in the heart of the large market town of Stockton, which is located on the north bank of the River Tees, and is 8 miles from Middlesbrough and 10 miles from Darlington. With excellent transport links, Newcastle can be reached in under an hour.  The store itself is next to a main bus stop servicing the town centre. As the new Audiology Partner in Stockton, your customer base will be very diverse – but there’ll plenty of familiar faces too.
