Dispensing Optician - Wellington

Position: Dispensing Optician

Location: Wellington, Shropshire

Salary: £26,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus Team Bonus/Specsavers Perks.
Working Hours: Part time 2.5 days per week – including one weekend day – with the potential to do further days if required
Experience Level: Previous experience and must have a GOC registration number.

We are a friendly store and pride ourselves on our fantastic, highly skilled, and supportive team. We strive to provide the highest standard of eyecare with quality optical products and an empathetic, human interaction for each of our patients. Our consistently high standards of service have allowed the store to establish and retain a large patient base of both Private and NHS patients. Conversion and ATV are important drivers in a business, but we strongly feel there is also more to patient care and encourage our staff to do what is right for our patients each time.

Given the store does not have it’s own Retail partner by choice, this makes for a very interesting and varied role, where you’ll take on additional duties such as business development and in-store training.   The store strives on making a difference, always keen to be involved in local and national charities and events.

You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Dispensing Optician with the drive, passion and the willingness to build upon our customer-focused culture. As part of our team, you’ll need to be able to provide a unique blend of customer care, leadership, and professional excellence. You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community.  Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with others is essential.
