Junior Data Developer

The global data team deliver company wide insights to help robust decision making, drive data consistency and enable self-service for the business. This is a great opportunity to join the team as a Junior Developer, your main role is to help us to understand business data requirements and convert these into real solutions on our state-of-the-art cloud data platform.
In addition, your focus will include:
The integrity and security of the data and be involved in the design and build of data pipelines, migration, transformations and other data services using files, API’s, streaming and database sources
Undertake unit testing, continuous development validation, reconciliation, defect triage, logging and resolution – helping to ensure the business always has the right data at the right time and helping us build and maintain robust platforms.
Conduct data discovery analysis across our business units globally
We’ll support your professional development to develop your skills and subject matter expertise on modern data platforms.
To be considered for the role, you’ll need to have/be:
Educational background in Maths, Computer Science or the Sciences
A great communicator with a collaborative approach with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and motivation in the computer / data environment
Work experience in business analysis, audit, support would be an advantage
We can consider homeworking with travel to our Whiteley office as and when required post Covid-19.
