Position: Newly qualified Optometrist
Location: Hove, East Sussex
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience + performance bonus scheme + £10,000 joining bonus (T&Cs apply) 

Working hours: Full time – 40 hours – no late nights
Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist


We have a rare opportunity for an Optometrist to join our thriving store in Hove. You will join a well-established and experienced team of 30 highly trained optical professionals, some who have been with the business for over 20 years!


Specsavers in Hove are looking for a dedicated Optometrist who has a collaborative mindset and a good balance of clinical and retail excellence. The focus in this store is about pulling together and working as team to ensure our valued patients have an excellent experience. The store was established in 1995 and is extremely community focused with lots of loyal customers.


The store has 5 test rooms all fully equipped with the latest clinical equipment and technology including OCT and Nidek Phoropters allowing you to focus on what you do best. Hove offers a truly positive working environment where the Directors are present and consistently driving the business as well as investing in their teams to allow you to progress your career in the way you want.


This role will bring you to the welcoming seaside resort in East Sussex and alongside Brighton, it is one of the two main parts of the city. With a great mix of high street brands next to quirky boutiques, there’s a host of surprises waiting for you in the west of the city including numerous trendy bars, traditional pubs, and amazing restaurants, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The store itself is conveniently located with excellent public transport links; Hove Train Station is a 5-minute walk from the store.

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
