Salary: Up to £65,000 + performance bonus + benefits (up to £88,000 OTE in your first year, terms apply)
Working hours: Full Time, flexible hours, or no weekends considered

We’re fully equipped with 4 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 18 – which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

What we’re looking for

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.

This historic harbour town is packed with independent shops, local produce and the picturesque quay, which draws visitors during every season.

Bideford was once Britain’s third largest port and while it still has maritime connections, these days, it is more widely known as being a thriving shopping centre with pubs, music and restarurants to satisfy every palate.  We have the best beaches in North Devon includinging Croyde Bay and Westward Ho!. 

The M5 motorway is just over an hour away giving convenient access to all major road networks. North Devon is serviced by a reliable bus network that connects many of the towns, villages and train stations.
