Specsavers has been going from strength to strength, ever since the business started back in 1984. We also recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success – so we do everything we can to make sure they get the experience and career they’re looking for; from outstanding training and a personal development plan, to excellent benefits and unstinting support. The business is growing, and we want you to be part of our success story.

Blyth is a bustling port town with a rich history and a keen sense of its own identity. The town is still home to a port – which handles more than 1.5m tonnes of cargo each year – and its harbour is dominated by a set of stunning wind turbines which generate electricity for the National Grid. Attractions include a large leisure centre and pool, the Phoenix Theatre, and Blyth Spartans – one of England’s most famous amateur football clubs – so you’re never too far from the action.

Blyth’s brightly coloured beach huts, bustling port and abundance of heritage give it an irresistible charm (not to mention its mouth-watering fish and chips…).  The historical port is still a working port today, and you can watch sailing boats drifting in and out from the town’s quayside.   Only 14 miles northeast of Newcastle you can be back in the city easily bycar or bus.
