Due to continued growth in our two practices, we are looking for a motivated and passionate Optometrist to join our talented team in Cambridge Specsavers.

Cambridge has two large Specsavers stores situated just a leisurely 10min walk apart in the city centre. Each host 4-5 clinics and has a dedicated CL clinic every day and as you would expect they have all the latest equipment including phoropters and OCT.

The patient base is very diverse, and we participate in all the local EOS schemes such as the MECS, cataract and glaucoma pathways so your days won’t be boring. We also have a strong culture of developing our own professionals, so you’ll also have the opportunity to help supervise our Pre-Reg OO’s, DO’s & CLO’s if you wish.

What’s on offer?
•         A fantastic annual salary of up to £65,000

•        Joining bonus of £10,000 paid after successful completion of probation (terms apply)

•        Lucrative bonus scheme of up-to £1000 a month

•        33 days of holiday + your birthday off
•        Free parking available provided by the store
•        The opportunity to work between 2 stores if you choose
•        Excellent holiday allowance of 33 days leave
•        GOC and College fee paid
•        Medical and dental package
•        Paid time-off for CPD
•        Tailored progression plan in place suited to your career goals

Essentially, we want our Optometrists to deliver excellent eye care and advice that meets the individual needs of our patients. To help them achieve this our practices are equipped with the latest equipment, including an OCT, so that they can provide the very best clinical care. Our wider teams include DO’s and CLO’s so that the Optometrists can focus on doing what they do best.

Come and be part of a team focussed on providing excellent care to our customers. Our directors have a wealth of knowledge and are looking to support with your progression and future development. Whether that’s improving your clinical knowledge and skills by undertaking higher qualifications such as IP or helping you to become the director of your own Specsavers store one day.
