Our amazing store has 8 testing rooms along with all the most up to date NIDEK equipment, including OCT and phoropters. We have a fantastic support structure of 7 Optometrist in store and a large team of over 60 staff members to make the day to day running as smooth as possible. We also have a dedicated contact lens department, meaning our Optometrist almost never have to do contact lenses work.
We also love progression here at Crystal peaks and offer support with development both clinically and professionally. We even have the possibility in the future for progression into a lead Optom role. We love to support newly qualified Optometrists through the first stages of their career, proven by the 6 pre-reg Optoms we have successfully guided through their OSCEs and are still in store with us now.

Whatever your ambitions, from WOPEC qualifications and independent prescribing to paediatric accreditations or enhanced optical services, we’ll do everything we can to help you be the best clinician you can be.
Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
We’re fully equipped with 9 test rooms, the latest clinical technology (including OCT), and a team of 70 across – which includes fully trained optical assistants, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best. Our experienced, diverse and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patient’s needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers.
The Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre has over 100 different shops, cafes and bars and attracts millions of customers each year. This suburban location has fantastic public transport links making it quick and easy for you to get to and from work. We’re also close to the M1, and being in a shopping centre, parking is plentiful. Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, we are searching for someone who shares our store’s ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn’t afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we’re looking for a skilled resident Optometrist to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward.
