Position: Optometrist
Location: Oban, Argyll
Salary: Up to £65,000 + £10,000 welcome bonus + up to £8,000 relocation support! 
Working hours: Full Time or Part Time
Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist

A golden opportunity has arisen for a qualified optometrist at the Specsavers Oban store.  Often referred to as ‘the gateway to the isles’. Oban is nestled on the dark blue waters of the Firth of Lorn, overlooking the Islands of Mull, Kerrera and Lismore with panoramic views of the mountains, Lochs and Islands. It’s hardly surprising this small town attracts nearly 25,000 tourists per year!

A few steps from the water’s edge, with views over the harbour, you will find our very own Specsavers Oban. This busy little family store has been established in the town since 2004 and now plays a big part in the local community. The store has a great atmosphere and prides itself on providing the very best in customer service. This has produced a very loyal customer base. Some of which make a 50-100 mile trip to visit the store!

The store is all about serving the town. The team works hard to maintain its excellent reputation for customer service and excellent clinical care. It’s extremely important that anyone joining the business shares the same philosophy and enjoys working in a friendly and professional manner.  The store itself has 3 test rooms with OCT technology, an in-house lab and employs 18 staff. This includes 4 optometrists, one of which is IP qualified.
