Salary: Salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience + fantastic bonus

Working hours: Full or Part Time considered
Experience level: You must be a GOC registered Optometrist

About The Role

Specsavers have an exciting opportunity for a GOC registered Optometrist in Walworth Road. We’re seeking an Optometrist ready to use their passion and knowledge to help us build on our ever-growing and loyal customer base. 

Specsavers in Walworth Road are a community-focused store, dedicated to ensuring that every one of our customers receive market leading patient experience. The store is currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment, which will enhance both the customer and colleague environment. There is an OCT/Tonoref III and photoropters in all rooms. 

You will be supported by a great team of five Optometrists, two of which are pre-reg and three fully qualified, as well as the wider team. There are regular team social events including a recent Golf event, annual summer and Christmas party.

We are passionate about the clinical development of our team and as our new Optometrist, we would support you with extra courses and specialisms that interest you. Whatever your ambitions, from WOPEC qualifications and independent prescribing to paediatric accreditations or enhanced optical services, we’ll do everything we can to help you be the best clinician you can be. 

The store is based in Elephant and Castle where there are lots of exciting things to do nearby ranging from eateries, shops and the East Street Market which is one of London’s oldest and busiest markets. Running from Tuesday – Sunday, you can find a variety of things from clothes, household products, jewellery, to fresh fruit and veg. This was even featured on the opening credits of Only Fools & Horses.

We are ideally looking for MECS accredited Optometrists but would consider candidates who are willing to work towards this. The right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same.
