About the store

Specsavers in Blandford Forum first opened its doors in October 2017. The store sits in a prominent position in the main high street and is firmly embedded within the local community. There are 3 test rooms (the 3rd was fitted out in December 2022) and a dedicated hearcare room, all fully kitted out with the latest technology including OCT.


Blandford Forum colleagues pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews and have earned them a 4.7 out of 5 stars in Google reviews online.


Located on the banks of the river Stour, the pretty, rural town of Blandford Forum, famous for its Georgian architecture is also home to the annual Great Dorset Steam Fair.  The store has free parking and there are buses to the local towns. Salisbury is less than 24 miles by car and Poole less than 15 miles.


Requirements of the role

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, you will have the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
