This is a remote based role but we do require you to travel to collaborate with your team and meet with stakeholders when required. 



What will you be doing


As a Search Consultant you will look after the attraction and sourcing of Joint Venture Partners into Specsavers UK/ROI. Supporting the business by utilising industry knowledge and expertise together with professional networks to identify and secure outstanding partner talent. Promoting the delivery of our direct sourcing strategy whilst delivering a credible resourcing service to the business during the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring the most cost effective and efficient recruitment methods are utilised to support and deliver existing partner needs whilst delivering a first class candidate experience.


  • Complete market mapping for designated locations to understand the market and identify target candidates for headhunting
  • Build good understanding of your business area, the external market and close working relationships with key stakeholders within them to add value / expertise
  • Keep abreast of market trends and legislative developments e.g. competition, rates, technologies etc and identify opportunities for continual improvement
  • Working with the Future Pipeline Team to contribute to the development of the Partner talent pipeline
  • Manage the sourcing and screening process, taking ownership and accountability for external partner recruitment for live investment opportunities.
  • Using Boolean searching to proactively source potential Specsavers Partners via direct sourcing channels from both active and passive routes.
  • Collate competitor information, organisation structures and build talent pools of suitable candidates keeping in regular contact ensuring they have a good understanding of the process
  • Write attractive / exciting job advertisements and to decide how and where jobs should be advertised including online advertising and job boards.
  • Actively telephone screen candidates to identify the most suitable applicants for interview
  • Ensure that constructive feedback is given to candidates at all stages of the recruitment process to ensure a great candidate experience
  • Manage all recruitment using our online recruitment system Avature. To maintain and develop the systems data base and assist in the roll out of updates and enhancements



What you will bring:


  • Proven experience of recruiting at Senior Hire Level, preferably within an Executive Search or research firm.
  • Experience and proven track record of developing strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across different locations at all levels
  • Ability to negotiate with candidates and fully understand their package value i.e. shares and options.
  • Experienced at sourcing candidates through Boolean search techniques and direct sourcing methods including LinkedIn, CV Databases
  • Self-motivated and uses initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Influencing/Negotiation skills
  • Able to travel across UK on a regular basis



Desirable but not essential skills include:


Previous use of Avature / Success Factors ATS

Senior hire recruitment experience gained within and Internal recruitment function
