About the store

The store is located in the middle of the main high street in the lovely town of Abergavenny. A team of 15 dedicated colleagues call this store home. You would be joining experienced partners Ankit Shah and Sejal Somaiya who are looking forward to gaining a retail partner.  There’s a full refit and rebrand planned for early next year which will help to drive the business forward so that it flourishes for many years to come.

There are currently 4 optical test rooms and 1 hearcare room, all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT. They also offer advanced optical services such as low vision clinics and cataract pre and post op care.

Location

Tucked between the seven hills, close to the Welsh/English border, Abergavenny is rightly known as the Gateway to Wales. It’s a pretty market town situated on the doorstep of the beautiful Breacon Beacons.  Abergavenny benefits from regular local transport, the train station is a 15 minute walk from the store where a train to Cardiff takes less than 50 minutes. There is free parking nearby and for drivers, access to main roads such as the A40 and A465 are just minutes from the store.

Requirements of the role

Alongside being an experienced retailer with experience in Optics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
