About the store

Specsavers in Eastbourne relocated its premises in 2015 and over 1 million pounds was spent on the relocation and refurbishment. The store still looks fresh, new and modern with big windows which allow a lot of light in. It now boasts 9 test rooms, all fully equipped with the highest and newest clinical technology including OCT, as well as Nidek Phoropters and trial frames in every room.

A team of 50 dedicated colleagues call this store home. The existing Partners are passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Retail Partner you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

The Eastbourne store is one of the top performing stores in the country as well as being a Platinum Employer and Centre of Excellence accredited.

Location

The store is located The Beacon shopping centre, home to over 100 retailers including Marks and Spencer and Primark. Vibrant Eastbourne is a popular tourist location and it’s easy to see why, with plenty of sandy beaches, water sports, outdoor areas and nearby South Downs. Eastbourne is even hosting this year’s Turner Prize.

There are excellent transport links with a railway station only 6 minute walk from the store where you can take a train to London Victoria in 90 minutes or Brighton in under 40 minutes. The A27 and A22 are nearby and driving to Gatwick airport takes just over an hour.

Requirements of the role

Alongside being an experienced retailer with experience in Optics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
