About the store

Specsavers in Haverfordwest first opened its doors in 2006. The store sits in a prominent position on the busy Bridge Street and is firmly embedded within the local community. The loyal and growing customer base includes shoppers from the Riverside Shopping Centre as well as those visiting the nearby farmer’s market.


Specsavers in Haverfordwest pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews, earning the store a 4.6 out of 5 stars online.  They offer enhanced clinical services such as Glaucoma Refinement, Cataract Pathway, Independent Prescribing, Diabetic screening, Low Vision Services, Myopia control and Orthokeratology.


After a relocation and refit in 2016, the store boasts 7 optical test rooms all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology, including OCT as well as a soundproofed audiology room. Another refit and possible relocation is planned for the autumn of 2023 and as the new retail partner, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in the planning and development of the store fit.


A team of 25 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home including 9 optoms, 4 Dos, 2 clinical technicians, a CLO, both a manager and assistant manager, 2 lab technicians and 2 call centre staff.  Clinical focus and excellent customer service are embedded into the store culture and have led to winning the National Optician awards twice in 2017 and 2022.

The store is located in the centre of Haverfordwest, a market town famous for its ancient castle built around 1100. There are excellent transport links; plenty of buses, a railway station is within walking distance of the store and the main A40 passes through the town.

Alongside being an experienced retailer with experience in 0ptics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
