The Service Partner Manager is a key “front line” role within the Service Partner Management (SPM) team, tasked with driving value into Specsavers from third party IT suppliers. This is done by tenaciously securing exceptional commercial outcomes from new proposals and renewals, and driving value through the life of contracts in accordance with our Service Partner Management Framework. The role is expected to develop sustainable and mutually valuable relationships with a subset of Specsavers’ IT most strategic Service Partners, ensuring these relationships meet and exceed the needs of the business. The primary task is to act as Specsavers Relationship Manager, to lead all Service Partner management aspects of a defined portfolio of very large Service Partners. With a focus on Tier one and two Service Partners within the Specsavers Service Partner EcoSystem, the SPM is responsible for all aspects of contract management, supplier performance and change management. Working alongside procurement, the SPM is also required to negotiate well balanced in-life proposals that practically deliver the business outcomes, while retaining goodwill. The SPM will manage the full lifecycle of contracts (from contract signature, through contract change, to in-life support) for Service Partners in their portfolio Partner. Finally, the SPM will be expected to assist the ongoing development of Service Partner Framework. This will include supporting the establishment of an efficient Service Partner Management Office (SPMO), and developing effective tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with Procurement to define negotiation plans
  • Negotiate with Service Partners to deliver optimised contracts that deliver value into Specsavers, within timescales that support the business.
  • Specsavers Relationship Management, acting the Service Partners’ primary point of contact.
  • Working alongside service management ensuring the services are being delivered in alignment with the contract
  • Ensuring relationships are healthy and productive between Specsavers and suppliers.
  • Acting as an effective point of escalation for service and commercial issues
  • Implementation and enhancement of the Supplier Management Framework
  • Implement Supplier Management Framework through regular monthly reporting on Service Partners
  • Manage Service Partners against contract requirements and outcomes, to ensure projected value is delivered and that service level performance is maintained.
  • Support the contracting process, liaising with Legal, Procurement, Finance and PMs as required.
  • Keep informed of emerging technologies and market developments, and potential fit to Specsavers IT.
  • Contribute to the updating of the Service Partner Management Framework

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Expert practical applied understanding of driving value into the business, through diligent structuring and oversight of IT contracts. The need for practical experience and mindset is key.
  • Expert understanding of Service Partner management and able to add value in building a VMO.
  • Expert relationship builder and possessing gravitas. Able to professionally represent the company alone.
  • Proficient, confident negotiator.
  • Proficient understanding of enterprise IT, including Infrastructure, Applications Management, and IT Project .
  • Proficient at crafting high quality, error free written deliverables such as contracts, SOWs, and reports.
