Role summary


Your role will form part of the Retail and Supply Chain Operations engineering team who work closely with the store partners, supply chain site directors and IT teams. This dedicated team of skilled staff provide an IT operational, infrastructure deployment and remediation service. Operating alongside other service departments, our IT services function are responsible for the design recommendations, delivery and support of IT infrastructure within the retail stores and supply chain sites. As such, a requirement to demonstrate strong customer relations and stakeholder management is essential. 


You will need to have demonstrable experience in IT break/fix and service delivery, with store and supply chain systems being a key advantage. You should possess a proficient knowledge of IT infrastructure, with technologies such as Windows. Cisco LAN networking and Data Centre management being advantageous. Desirable skills include Meraki and Redhat technology.

 Your skills and experience will include:

  • Prior experience in a technical support environment with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Your technical background is likely to include: networking concepts and protocols e.g., LAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, etc. IT security concepts and solutions, e.g. antivirus, firewalls, etc. working with IT infrastructure within a retail environment and in administering Cisco network technology 

 The role

 Examples of Principal accountabilities 


  • Provide both on-the-ground and remote technical IT support within the stores and supply chain sites, aiding technology service delivery and resolution across incident, problem, and change
  • Responsible for driving through and actioning measures required to provide incident resolution to assigned service tickets
  • Implement technology solutions to prevent, contain and resolve IT service issues with sites infrastructure, including store and supply chain systems, networks, and applications
  • Coordinate with site or store partners, including where applicable local IT site resource, to facilitate remediation or implementation activities
  • Assist in the IT implementation of new stores, relocations or rebrands where required to ensure service availability and performance is achieved on-time and to standard
