Salary: $106,000 - $115,000
Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience We also offer quarterly variable compensation package (bonus) + benefits

Clinical Support Consultant – Driving Excellence in Eye Care

As a Clinical Support Consultant, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming eye care delivery across your province. This field-based role is all about empowering Optometry Partners and Associate Optometrists to achieve outstanding clinical and commercial results. You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing Specsavers’ clinical reputation, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting our ambitious growth.

Working alongside with the Senior CSC and your regional team, you’ll deliver impactful training, hands-on support, and strategic guidance that elevates clinical standards and drives productivity. From onboarding new stores to embedding cutting-edge clinical technology, you’ll be the go-to expert for enabling change and championing best practice.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the clinical set-up of new stores to ensure Optometrists hit the ground running.
  • Becoming a trusted expert on provincial regulations and eyecare coverage, ready to train and support store teams.Identifying opportunities to boost clinical productivity and executing plans that deliver measurable results.
  • Coaching teams on high-impact clinical touchpoints like pre-test and 3-way handovers.
  • Supporting pilots of new technologies, services, and systems that enhance patient care and commercial performance.
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Recruitment Manager to ensure new Associates are welcomed and well-prepared.
  • Analysing store performance, addressing underperformance, and celebrating success to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Role modelling Specsavers’ values – Collaboration, Commerciality, Curiosity, Courageousness, and Compassion – in everything you do.
  • Utilising your Specsavers knowledge & relationships with our partners to ensure that we deliver care that can really drive improvement of outcomes for both our patients & customers alike.

Key Skills, Ability or Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Studies, Optometrist or equivalent, preferably with 5+ years’ experience in retail environment
  • Experience facilitating training to audiences of 5-30 people (min two years)
  • Experience in industry stakeholder relationships
  • Experience of retail management and/or training design and delivery
  • Ability to build effective relationships and hold open and honest conversations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and a strong ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to coach/mentor
