The role

Location: This is an on-site role at our Delta, BC Distribution Centre.

 

Hours: This is a 40-hour per week role, primarily working Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Occasional weekend work is required (approximately 4–5 weekends per year), with some flexibility for shift rotation.

What You’ll Do

 

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for ensuring timely fulfilment and dispatch of all daily customer orders. They will work collaboratively with the customer service team to ensure that the customers' requirements for speed and service are met.

 

This role requires a high level of autonomy with a key focus on raising any operational concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor as and when they arise.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective receiving, picking, and shipping of products.
  • Lead daily start-up meetings, assign workloads, and adjust staffing and priorities in real time to meet operational targets and service requirements.
  • Supervise warehouse team members across all locations, providing training, coaching, and performance management aligned with SOPs and company standards.
  • Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs (e.g., productivity, accuracy, on-time dispatch, labour efficiency), including reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Manage labour planning and allocation based on operational volumes to optimize productivity, service levels, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound freight, including safe unloading, storage, order picking, and shipment accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock management, including identifying and addressing obsolete or surplus stock.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, and presentation for all outgoing orders.
  • Collaborate with customer service and leadership teams to support timely order fulfilment and continuous process improvements.
  • Promote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and participating in improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, actively promoting a safe, injury-free workplace through leadership and accountability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment, including optimizing layout and space utilization.
  • Communicate team goals, performance results, and operational updates clearly and consistently.
  • Support operational needs by coordinating materials, equipment, and warehouse supplies as required.
  • Champion company values and culture in all aspects of team leadership and decision-making.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre environment.
  • Progressive experience in a leadership role, with the ability to coach and develop team members on duties, processes, and policies.  
  • Proven ability to take ownership of complex situations and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight when management is not present.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 25lbs), and reaching throughout the shift.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general internet use.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and safety systems.

 

Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary, plus quarterly bonus, profit sharing, and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience
