Specsavers has once again been recognised for its outstanding customer service, taking home Gold in the Optometry category in both New Zealand and Australia at the Reader’s Digest 2026 Quality Service Awards.
The awards, now in their 12th year, are based on independent research conducted by Catalyst Consultancy & Research, surveying over 4,000 consumers across both countries. The accolades are a true reflection of customer sentiment, with Specsavers emerging as a leader in service excellence.
Ben Ashby, Specsavers Clinical Services Director, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be recognised by our customers for the quality of care we provide. This award is a testament to the dedication of our optometrists and retail teams across New Zealand, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver personalised, expert eye care.”
“At Specsavers, we believe that great service starts with understanding our customers’ needs and delivering with empathy and professionalism. These awards affirm that we’re on the right path.”
Reader’s Digest editor-in-chief Louise Waterson noted that the winners represent brands that New Zealanders trust most, saying: “Customer service excellence remains a core indicator of a business’s success and longevity in the market.”
Specsavers’ locally-run stores continue to set the benchmark for accessible, expert-led eye care, combining clinical excellence with genuine customer connection.
