Specsavers has again been officially recognised again as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for 2026 by Great Place to Work®, ranking number 2 in the national Top 10 in the large business category.
This marks the second consecutive year Specsavers has appeared on the list, after debuting in the second spot in last year’s inaugural Best Workplaces List. The recognition is based on feedback from employees and partners across the organisation, making it a true reflection of their experience, contribution and the culture they help create every day.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it is based on the confidential feedback and experiences of Specsavers people. More than 7,700 team members and partners across Australia and New Zealand participated in the Great Place To Work® assessment, representing 78% of Specsavers’ workforce, sharing their experiences of trust, pride, belonging, leadership and everyday working life.
“This achievement belongs to our people,” says Paul Bott, Managing Director ANZ.
“Their participation and honest feedback have shaped this result, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust they have placed in us. Being named among the Top 2 Best Workplaces in the country for two years in a row is something we can all be proud of.”
“To every team member and Partner who took part, thank you. The care you show our customers, the support you give each other and the commitment you bring every day are what make Specsavers such a special place to work. This recognition reflects the culture you help create.”
A great workplace is built through everyday actions and experiences. For Specsavers, it means creating an environment where people feel valued, respected and supported, while having opportunities to grow and develop.
“Being recognised as a Top 3 workplace is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of,” says Karen Clancy, Specsavers ANZ People Director. “Our team’s feedback has been instrumental in shaping our culture and helping us create a workplace where people can thrive. We’ll continue listening, learning and investing in the things that matter most to our teams.”
The Great Place To Work® Best Workplaces™ list is based primarily on confidential employee feedback through the Trust Index™ survey, supported by an assessment of workplace culture and practices. Independently analysed responses explore employees’ experiences of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and connection.
“The 2026 Best Workplaces list represents organisations that understand culture is their greatest strategic asset," said Rebecca Moulynox, General Manager of Great Place to Work ANZ. “These companies have proven that when you build a workplace founded on trust, pride and camaraderie, you create the conditions for both employee flourishing and exceptional business performance.”
Specsavers’ people-first approach includes clinical learning pathways, leadership development, wellbeing initiatives and inclusive workplace practices. These investments help teams deliver exceptional customer care while providing opportunities for people to build meaningful careers.
“We’re incredibly proud of this achievement, but we’re even more grateful to the people behind it,” says Bott. “Thank you for sharing your voice, supporting your colleagues and continuing to build our culture. Your care, energy and commitment are what make Specsavers one of New Zealand’s best places to work.”
