The role and team
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a passionate Store Environment Design Manager. Based in our Port Melbourne Support office, you will report to the Global Head of Store Environment (based in the U.K) and work cross-functionally and cross-culturally on global projects. As a subject matter expert, you will manage the design, development, and delivery of store environment projects that enhance the customer and brand experience, while balancing commercial and operational needs. You will also work alongside the local Store design team and Global Store Environment Design Manager in delivering tests and trials, evaluation and delivery of projects contributing to the improvement of the store environment and customer experience whilst managing partner and group cost.
In this role you will also:
· Use regional and market insights and experience to continuously improve the in-store brand and customer experience
· Work with global stakeholders to ensure solutions are in line with the brand and design playbooks
· Work with regional stakeholders to develop globally applicable briefs and store concepts, manage, record and measure trials and tests within regions, and develop detail design for global roll-out and implementation
· Use insight and conceptual ideas and turn them into tactical and commercially viable solutions
· Work with Procurement to take solutions from prototype to delivery into region, managing cost and impact on the environment.
So, who are you?
· You will have significant experience in retail store design and delivering world-class customer retail experiences.
· A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of customer behaviour in the physical retail and clinical environment
· Demonstrable experience in turning strategic business initiatives into delivered store environment changes.
· You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and respect with all stakeholders
· You will have the flexibility to collaborate with the Global team across different time zones and be available to travel as needed.
· Extensive knowledge of global creative retail design trends and best practice in all operating markets
· Ability to interpret brand and design guidelines into tangible solutions deployable at scale across multiple store types.
