The role & team

Join our dynamic and energetic Internal Communications team as a Communications Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting into the Head of Communications, you will develop and execute impactful communication strategies and initiatives that engage, educate, and inspire Partners, Support Offices, and Store Teams across Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, you will create and edit engaging content for internal communication platforms, including newsletters, our intranet, internal events, and webinars. You’ll also work closely with senior leadership to ensure messaging aligns with business objectives and drive effective communication strategies across the business. Collaborating with various business units, you’ll deliver engaging, strategic communications that connect, motivate, and inform our diverse and dispersed team members.

At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternative location, the Communications Manager will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne. 
 

The skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience in managing internal communications, preferably within a fast-paced FMCG or retail environment, and thriving in dynamic, ever-changing conditions.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for internal communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Strong track record in developing, proposing, and executing end-to-end internal communication strategies, with resilience in handling multiple variables and adapting to change.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, building strong, strategic relationships with senior leaders, and excelling in a fast-paced environment that requires collaboration and flexibility.
