The role & team
 
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing leader to join our Marketing team at Specsavers. Reporting into the Head of Activation & Trade, you will collaborate with Marketing, Retail Support Team leadership and wider support office functions to lead the local area marketing support for store partners in end-to-end local area marketing expertise.

The Senior Marketing Manager for Local Area Marketing (LAM) will help the team create consistent decision-making, standardized workflows, and repeatable plans for store launches, changes, and local marketing or sponsorships that boost community presence or drive short-term sales

As an experienced marketing professional, you will have an open and curious approach to learning, a natural ability to build relationships and communicate to all levels.

The skills we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams within fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments (essential)
  • Strong time and project management / organisational skills that are applied with initiative and proactivity (essential)
  • Prior experience in retail marketing highly regarded
  • Experience in marketing for franchise or joint venture businesses from a head office will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental marketing principles and the more recent advancements in marketing theory with an ability to apply these to local area marketing.
  • Effective & empathetic communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong day-to-day computer literacy.
