The Role & Team

Due to the continued growth of our  Specsavers Audiology business, we’re excited to introduce a newly created full-time position for a System Engineer.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Design Lead, you’ll be the go-to expert for audiology desktop systems, including hearing testing software, hearing aid fitting applications and clinical peripherals. You’ll provide hands-on support, training and documentation to ensure seamless operation across our clinical environments. You’ll also collaborate with global and local teams to implement systems upgrades, test new technologies, and drive improvements that enhance the experience for both clinicians and patients.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning through regular upskilling, certifications and staying current with evolving technologies and industry advancements (essential)
  • Must have minimum 3+ years’ experience in desktop systems engineering or IT support, ideally within retail or healthcare environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in Windows desktop environments, drivers and peripheral integration (Up to 70 applications involved) (essential)
  • Availability to work full time, onsite at our Port Melbourne Support Office (essential)
  • Experience in clinical or healthcare software environments, ideally audiology related.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and connectivity, with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and clinical teams, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, adapt to changing demands and maintain focus in dynamic environment.
