Meet the Optometry Steering Groups

Shaping the future of eyecare

It’s important to us that we draw upon the clinical expertise and experience of our network of independent optometrists to develop the clinical strategies we use to best care for patients. To do this we have Optometry Steering Groups in each province that are made up of a clinically-diverse mix of optometry partners who collaborate to trial, refine and implement initiatives, whether this be in relation to new technology advancement, specialty practice or enhancing standards of routine care. These groups help to drive better outcomes for patients, in ways that are both clinically and commercially optimized – whether that’s contributing directly to local community eyecare needs, or impacting eye health on a much larger scale across Canada.

Read more on how the Optometry Steering Groups spearheaded the introduction of myopia management as an option for clinic owners.
