Over two decades ago, Tamara made the significant decision to immigrate to Canada from a country ravaged by war, and its people struggled with the lack of access to essential resources. Once in Canada, she faced considerable challenges, including navigating a new language and managing with very few possessions.
Since then, Tamara has gained over 20 years of experience in the optical industry, holding positions as an optician and an area manager. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills in problem-solving, team leadership, and delivering exceptional customer service. She fosters innovation and excellence in all aspects of her work as she strives to uplift and mentor others to become outstanding opticians themselves.
Joining Specsavers as retail partner at St. Vital Centre represents an opportunity for her to make positive and valuable contributions to the community by providing affordable, high-quality eyewear to individuals in need. Her values align perfectly with those of Specsavers, and she enjoys serving the public while also giving back to the community that welcomed her.
I’m passionate about working with the public and seizing opportunities to make a positive impact in the community, including helping people to see better. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing someone exclaim, ‘I can see, I can see!’.
