Why this Canadian came back to Specsavers
Kristal Evans’ claim to fame is having the first Specsavers eye exam in Canada. She’s happy to share that she has an updated prescription and has refreshed her training to become an eyecare consultant for the new Specsavers Woodgrove location.
This isn’t Kristal’s first time working for Specsavers: Back in 2006, this Canadian worked as a sales associate in the town of Rugby, England for three years. Through the Specsavers internal development program, Pathway, and with the help of her colleagues (who even stayed late to help her study), she became an optical dispenser.
“What I love about working at Specsavers is our commitment to investing in our team. The sky is the limit with Specsavers and they provide you with the tools and support to assist you in achieving your goals. They empower your career,” she shared.
After moving back to Canada, Kristal worked for an independent optometry clinic for 11 years. When she saw that Specsavers had crossed the Atlantic, she jumped on board to be part of the first Specsavers retail team. She was thrilled to help launch the brand that made her fall in love with optics.
From the simplicity of pricing to the industry leading equipment, Kristal feels that with Specsavers she can focus on what’s most important: Providing customers with easy, accessible eyecare.
