Lead B2B for Specsavers in Northern Europe

To strengthen our Northern Europe Trading team, we’re searching for a Head of B2B to lead and grow our corporate sales strategy across five markets, unlocking new opportunities and driving sustainable business growth.

 

Your role

 

As Head of B2B, Northern Europe, you will be accountable for driving and growing the B2B business across the region. In close collaboration with the Director of Growth Opportunities Trading, Northern Europe, you’ll take lead in developing and delivering the B2B strategy, overseeing day-to-day operations, and supporting the B2B teams across our five markets.

 

This role offers significant opportunity to scale B2B sales—both by securing new strategic contracts (business-to-business and business-to-government) and by expanding relationships with existing corporate partners.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead the B2B strategy across all Northern Europe markets, tailored to each country’s specific opportunities in collaboration with senior regional leaders.
  • Oversee daily operations and provide inclusive leadership for local B2B teams, supporting their development and ensuring delivery of professional, high-quality services.
  • Drive commercial growth by identifying new revenue streams, vertical markets, and strategic corporate opportunities.
  • Manage stakeholder collaboration, including internal teams (marketing, store operations, technology, purchasing, legal, product) and external agencies or manufacturers to support successful B2B delivery.
  • Champion brand protection and compliance through proactive risk management and awareness of local laws and regulations.
  • Enhance marketing and PR efforts in collaboration with specialists to grow our corporate presence and visibility.
  • Ensure systems and platforms are current and aligned with business needs in partnership with technology teams at both regional and group levels.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration on projects aligned with the Northern Europe Annual Plan, ensuring the B2B strategy integrates seamlessly across functions.

 

In this role, there will be regular travel to each of the markets, making sure to stay close and connected to the different countries and support the local teams. This is expected to be 5-10 times per year.

As Regional Head of B2B, you’ll report directly to our Director of Growth Opportunities Trading, Northern Europe and play a key role in shaping the future of our B2B strategy across the region.

Your leadership will be crucial in turning strategic opportunities into real, measurable impact, working across five markets to drive collaboration, innovation, and sustainable business growth.

Your qualifications

 

We’re seeking a strategic and collaborative leader with a passion for driving growth and building strong cross-functional relationships. You bring a balance of commercial acumen, communication skills, and the ability to lead across markets in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

To excel in this role at Specsavers, you might meet the following requirements:

  • A university degree in business, sales, or marketing – or equivalent practical experience in retail or sales
  • A strong understanding of the retail landscape and customer-focused growth strategies
  • Strong leadership experience, with a track record of inspiring and guiding teams across different markets
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver end-to-end business plans that drive measurable growth
  • Experience in building broad, effective networks—both regionally and within a wider organisational structure
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to lead through influence and drive results via virtual teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships at all levels
  • A logical and analytical mindset, comfortable navigating complexity and exploring varied solutions

 

Your development

 

Within 3 months, you’ll:  

  • Be onboarded and build your network within Specsavers NE.
  • Gain understanding of the role, the expectations and the company.
  • Support/work on delivering on the functional elements in the annual plan.

 

Within 6-12 months, you:  

  • Run the business and have functional responsibility.
  • Understand the strategic direction and the functional plans to enable it.
  • Can be the go-to-person for all things related to B2B.
  • Deliver on the expected results.
