Your role
As our Marketing Activation Planner, you’ll drive the execution of Local Growth opportunities including store re-openings as defined by the Store Operations team. You will work with development and implementation of marketing activation packages to support partners in achieving the business KPI’s. On top you’ll support the National Planning Manager and support activities where needed.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include, but not be limited to:
Planning and execution of local marketing campaigns in view of store (re)openings, rebrands or relocations
Planning, managing and evaluating appropriate media and materials in support of local marketing campaigns, in close cooperation with Local Growth Manager and partners
Shape local activation calendar to support local store visibility
Help develop concepts that reflect our brand ambitions
Represent NL Local Marketing within NE Local Marketing/Growth community
Initiate and coordinate marketing activities together with National Marketing Planning Manager
In the role of, you’ll report directly to the Head of (Optics) Marketing in Netherlands, Truusje Wijsman. Occasional travel within country and region is to be expected in the role.

Your qualifications
We’re seeking a curious and collaborative new colleague to join our team. Being a team player and flexible is highly important in this role, as is bringing a customer-centric, thriving with flexibility while having a commercial mindset is highly valued in this role.
In addition, we would like to see that you have:
Essential
Education within Marketing (Bachelor or Master’s level)
2-3 years’ experience from similar position with marketing responsibilities
Experience navigating in the digital media landscape and curious to learn an evolve knowledge base
Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing in both Dutch and English
Natural analytical mindset and approach supported by structure and being organized
Desirable:
Experience from working in a retail organisation
Experience marketing planning & execution
Knowledge of Power BI and comfortable user of excel
Your development
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Be onboarded and engage in our Welcome to Specsavers induction program, incl gaining instore experience
Understand the way Specsavers Support Office enables store partners to successfully run their businesses
Support/work on store re-openings and other special events
Within 6-12 months, you:
Run local marketing activities
Understand the Specsavers mission and the way we incorporate it in our work
Can be the go-to-person for the Local Growth Manager with whom you will closely collaborate
Contribute to distinct projects in the field of local marketing
Further development:
